The Koala Study Program
The Koala Study Program at The University of Queensland is the longest running research program dedicated to the study of the koala.
Led by Dr. Frank Carrick A.M., The Koala Study Program has a broad range of research projects investigating aspects of the biology and ecology of the koala throughout its range in Queensland. The Koala Study Program is renowned for its keystone publications taking precedence on key areas of koala biology, including:

 Reproductive endocrinology
 Reproductive morphology
 Sperm morphology and phylogeny
 Diet analysis
 Molecular genetics
 Disease epidemiology
 Predictive modeling of koala habitat
 Improved koala trapping techniques

The Koala Study Program provides a teaching resource to undergraduate studies at The University of Queensland and opportunities for postgraduate training through honours, masters and Ph. D. projects. The Koala Study Program also provides support to Government and non-Government research and management programs.
